Melissa George, VMDDr. Melissa George, our Chief of Staff, is from the Pittsburgh area, where her extended family still resides. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Bioscience from Penn State. She then graduated from veterinary school at University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in Philadelphia in 1998.

Dr. George began working at Bradford Hills Veterinary Hospital in 2001. She has a special interest in orthopedic disease diagnosis and management and is certified to complete PennHIP study for screening of hip dysplasia and VetStem stem cell therapy for osteoarthritis. Among other surgeries, Dr. George performs surgical repair of cranial cruciate ligament injury using lateral suture method for dogs under 50 lbs. She is also interested in chronic disease management.

Dr. George loves spending time with her family – husband, Jason, and two daughters, as well as two Labrador Retrievers and six chickens! She is an active member of the South Butler School District PTO and enjoys fitness, swimming and being outdoors. Dr. George loves the relationships she makes with patients and clients. She finds great joy in watching the patients grow into adulthood and seniorhood.

James Krewatch, VMDDr. Krewatch ("Dr. K") graduated from University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 1972. After practicing at two other local clinics, he opened Bradford Hills Veterinary Hospital in 1979. His special interests include clinical medicine, alternative and holistic medicine, including Bioresonance therapy.

 

 

 

 

Donna Schuring, DVM

Dr. Donna Schuring, a Franklin Park native, completed her undergraduate studies at California State College. She worked for the Allegheny County Health Department for several years before moving on to Ross University to complete her veterinary degree. She graduated from Ross University in 1989 and worked for several years at a clinic in Niles, Ohio before starting at Bradford Hills Veterinary Hospital in 1992.

Dr. Schuring has completed post-graduate training in behavior medicine and is certified in stem cell therapy. She is interested in incorporating all aspects of a pet's life into their care and medical recommendations. She also has a special interest in surgery, wound care, nutrition, senior care, and pediatric medicine.

Dr. Schuring enjoys spending time outdoors, hiking with her dogs, and landscaping. She also enjoys theater and music. She has two dogs – Junkanoo and Bristol, and four cats – Brynn, Kylie, Po, and CJ.

Dan Graham, DVMDr. Graham hails from Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. He graduated with a BS degree from Lake Superior State University and Michigan State University. He received his DVM degree from Michigan State University in 1984. Dr. Graham worked in mixed animal practices in Ohio and Michigan for several years, then spent time serving as a Regional Office Supervisor for the Michigan Department of Agriculture involved in reportable diseases and zoonotic disease surveillance.

Dr. Graham joined our team in 2008 and enjoys general practice and surgery. His hobbies include gardening, fishing, swimming, and many other outdoor activities. He enjoys spending time with family – his wife Debbie, three sons (Isaac, Joel, Stephan), daughter (Maria), and daughter-in-law (Joy). Dr. Graham also coaches Jr. High boys' basketball at Portersvillle Christian School.

Allison Braun, DVMDr. Allison Braun, a Delaware, Ohio native, received her undergraduate degree from the Ohio State University (OSU) in Columbus, Ohio. She then continued her studies at OSU, earning her veterinary degree in 2013. She is a member of the American Association of Feline Practitioners (AAFP) and has a special interest in nutrition and feline medicine. Dr. Braun started at Bradford Hills Veterinary Hospital in the summer of 2013. She enjoys painting, bowling, and entertaining her two cats, Mittens and Sketch.
