Due to the recent outbreaks of Canine Influenza in many Midwest and Southeast states this summer, we are now carrying the newest, most comprehensive vaccine that covers both strains of the virus (H3N8 and H3N2).

Canine Influenza WarningCall us at (724) 935-5827 to book your pet's vaccination. A booster will be necessary 2-4 weeks after the first vaccine to ensure protection against both strains.

We recommend that high-risk dogs (see below) be vaccinated with the current vaccine as soon as possible, in an effort to give them the most effective protection against the virus.

What Is Canine Influenza?

Canine Influenza is a highly contagious respiratory virus that can cause severe disease and even death in extreme cases. We have recently seen a spike in the number of dogs in the area that have been exposed to the virus.

cat friendly practiceBradford Hills Veterinary Hospital has been approved by the American Association of Feline Practitioners (AAFP) as a Cat Friendly Practice – Silver Status!

According to the AAFP, even though there are millions more pet cats than there are pet dogs in the United States, cats visit the veterinarian much less frequently. This is largely because of the stress that comes with vet visits for cats and their owners.

At Bradford Hills Veterinary Hospital, we strive to make your visit to the doctor with your feline companion as stress-free as possible. We offer a full range of preventive care services to keep your cat living a longer, happier life.

We've recently remodeled our waiting area to provide a more comfortable experience for you and your pets!

Bradford Hills Pet Hotel & Spa's professional groomer, Rochelle, can give your pet a medicated bath. Just bring the shampoo prescribed by your veterinarian. This helps keep pets that suffer from seborrhea, atopy (allergies), and yeast dermatitis clean and comfortable this winter! Please call (724) 935-6321 to set up a medicated bath with Rochelle.

If you think your pet may have a chronic dermatologic condition, please call our hospital at (724) 935-5827 to schedule an appointment with a veterinarian.

Meet our team of caring veterinary and support professionals. Our team is devoted to you and your pets. Please let us know how we can help.

BHVH Veterinary Technician Team

Our Technician Team is made up of experienced licensed veterinary technicians, as well as qualified assistants. They provide excellent care and services for our patients and clients while promoting the human-animal bond. Our technician team leaders are Wendy Colonello and Melanie Auten, LVT.

Our techs assist the veterinarians with patient histories, appointments, dental prophys, surgeries, anesthetic monitoring, and patient care. In addition, they offer appointments for nail trims, anal gland expressions, vaccine boosters (other than Rabies and Distemper), blood work (heartworm tests and pre-anesthetic blood work) and suture removals. Our veterinary technicians are also available to answer client questions through our dedicated technician phone extension.
